Former USHL stars return to check out championship series
The 2012 USHL Clark Cup Final has already seen some highlight moments and there have been plenty of eyes on the championship series. Two sets of eyes are from a pair of USHL alumni that were skating in the League just a couple seasons ago.
Ryan Furne spent two seasons in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers (2008-10) and was part of the team that captured the Clark Cup in 2010.
Dan Sova was a defenseman in the USHL from 2008-10 for the Waterloo Black Hawks. His team was twice eliminated in the playoffs by Furne and the Gamblers.
Following their time in the USHL, the rivals became college hockey teammates at Michigan Tech University. Furne and Sova returned from their campus to catch some USHL action as their former teams are meeting in the 2012 Clark Cup Final series.
