The 2012 Chicago Blackhawks Prospects Camp had a heavy influence from the USHL as 21 players who spent time in the League were at the camp.

Joe Gleason spent the 2008-09 season in the USHL with the Des Moines Buccaneers after the Chicago Blackhawks selected him in the 2008 NHL Draft.  He is entering his senior season at the University of North Dakota where he is teammates with another Chicago Blackhawks draft pick and USHL alum - Nick Mattson.

Matt Lindblad began his USHL career close to home by playing for the Chicago Steel during the 2008-09 season.  Like many players, his career really took off in his second USHL season when he was one of the leading scorers in the League while playing for the Sioux Falls Stampede (2009-10).  He is playing college hockey at Dartmouth.

Chris Casto was a force on the blueline for the Lincoln Stars during the 2010-11 season before beginning his college career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
